I have a couple rebuilt by max. Great job and reasonable costs. Never had any trouble with the ones he repaired.

Max Musgrove is Strombergs rebuilding expert. He also rebuilds and can do nearly all repair work. I will send you his contact info. in a PM or contact me. To disconnect the linkage hold the center rod steady then pull the end cover away from the center rod and then pull the linkage off. If your doing a restoration you may want to make sure your carb. is correct for your car before paying for a rebuild.

Looking for some advice. My stromberg 97 is leaking. Can I buy a new replacement, I seem to see a few advertised. Are these worthwhile? Also how do I disconnect the factory' style linkage? I also see kits readily available. As a novice mechanic could I send my 97 somewhere to be rebuilt? .
