Looking for some advice. My stromberg 97 is leaking. Can I buy a new replacement, I seem to see a few advertised. Are these worthwhile? Also how do I disconnect the factory' style linkage? I also see kits readily available. As a novice mechanic could I send my 97 somewhere to be rebuilt? . This message was edited by dankerus on 9-24-17 @ 9:14 AM

Max Musgrove is Strombergs rebuilding expert. He also rebuilds and can do nearly all repair work. I will send you his contact info. in a PM or contact me. To disconnect the linkage hold the center rod steady then pull the end cover away from the center rod and then pull the linkage off. If your doing a restoration you may want to make sure your carb. is correct for your car before paying for a rebuild. This message was edited by 40 Coupe on 9-25-17 @ 4:24 AM

I have a couple rebuilt by max. Great job and reasonable costs. Never had any trouble with the ones he repaired.
