I visited Skip Haney in March of 2016 at his coil rebuilding shop near Punta Gorda, FL. He personally told me he rebuilds both script and non script coil cores. He said the only coils he can not rebuild are those being sold by Dennis Carpenter because they are internally potted with some type of epoxy resin material that he can not remove. Skip normally prefers to rebuild the coil core that you send him rather than supply the core himself. John

"I've heard that Skip no longer rebuilds non Ford Script coils... " I hope that's not true, Skip has been a valuable resource for years. I'm running 2 flatheads with his coils for 13 years!

Try John Mason 1-410-658-6294. He may have a core. ken ct.

Thank you all for your help. I think the idea of an old one on Ebay and then having it rebuilt makes a lot of sense.

MG, I did not realize that. Here's another, Ford script, tested, NOS in the box. Lord knows what the reserve is but may be worth checking. Bob is a good guy but rather "proud" of his parts. eBay item number:332223990701

Contact Skip Haney. He should be able to fix you up with a rebuilt coil without providing him a core.... George "Skip" Haney 12168 Azure Court Punta Gorda, FL 33955 Tel. - 941-637-6698 E-mail - skip@fordsrus.com

These are all over eBay. Very common. A typical core usually realizes in the $10 range.
