I am planning to build a spare distributor for my 1933 to have available if I am on the road as a replacement. Since I don't have a core to send off for a rebuild, I am looking for a source to buy one. The early coil, used from 32-36 seems to be a bit harder to come by. Do any of you have a suggestion for a place to purchase one? Thanks

These are all over eBay. Very common. A typical core usually realizes in the $10 range.

Contact Skip Haney. He should be able to fix you up with a rebuilt coil without providing him a core.... George "Skip" Haney 12168 Azure Court Punta Gorda, FL 33955 Tel. - 941-637-6698 E-mail - skip@fordsrus.com

MG, I did not realize that. Here's another, Ford script, tested, NOS in the box. Lord knows what the reserve is but may be worth checking. Bob is a good guy but rather "proud" of his parts. eBay item number:332223990701

Thank you all for your help. I think the idea of an old one on Ebay and then having it rebuilt makes a lot of sense.

Try John Mason 1-410-658-6294. He may have a core. ken ct.

"I've heard that Skip no longer rebuilds non Ford Script coils... " I hope that's not true, Skip has been a valuable resource for years. I'm running 2 flatheads with his coils for 13 years!
1934 Ford's since 1972
