Does anyone have a 4:10 differential for a 1950 sedan that they want to sell that is quiet?, Or know who can rebuild mine. I have a new ring and pinion, crush sleeve, spider gears, and bearings (It hums some on the road on light acceleration orlightdeceleration.) I'm 40 miles north of Tampa,fl. Thanks for any help. Regards, Steve Lee

Steve, If you are not running with an OD, you may want to look for a 3.73. Don

X-2 youwill find a 3.73 or even a 3.54 ratio would be better suited for all around driving. Not much top end with a 4.10 rear engine will be turning pretty fast @ even 55 mph. OMO ken ct.

I am running an OD in a 49 convertible with 3.78 gears that I have driven over the cross country and got to 10,000 feet at one point. If you do much highway driving, you'll love it.
