Don, As there may have been different kits available when your shocks were installed, I think your best bet would be to determine overall dimension as compressed, and distance of travel, then compare to what is available today. I would suggest that doing your own homework in that way would be better than taking the advice of an Auto Supply Store Clerk.

My 40 has replacement tube shocks. The setup is very good and I am sure it was a kit at one time. I have owned the car since 1959 and it is time to replace all 4 units. Does anyone know what shocks I need for both the front and rear? Don
