Check to see that the BB-1225-A bearings, side to side, measure 1 3/4" long. They were designed for trucks, but the passenger and "commercial" (light trucks) used a bearing 1 23/32" from 28-36. They would be B-1225-A. Close, but different. If you clean the bearings with steel wool, be very careful to get all the residue out of the rollers.

As long as there are no pits, they should be fine to use.

I have 5 BB 1225 rear wheel bearings for 31-34 trucks. These are NOS that I got from a Ford dealership going out of business in the 70's. They have always been inside a building but due to temp. change etc. they have some surface rust on some of the rollers. When I use very fine steel wool to remove the rust the metal is discolored but not pitted. Can I use these or are they toast.
