bolt goes thru cab floor, thru wooden block, thru frame attachement point, I say this because some are thru the frame others are thru a bracket attached to the frame, place spring, then flat washer, then bolt, snug up but allow for some spring movement, then insert cotter key, bend ends to secure

can you be more specific?? Between the wood and the cab or between the wood and the frame? 1 spring at each of the 6 total wood shims?

they go on the frame attachment points, not under the wood, they allow the cab to move on the frame as it flexes under load

Have a 1947 1 ton with a regular box. Recently re-installed the cab which has been off for several years. I have found a container markes "rear cab bolts" which contains 2 bolts (1/2 in dia x 5 in long with 1 in x 1&1/2 in long coiled springs attached) The springs seem pretty heavy duty. The QUESTION is about the springs - WHAT AND WHERE DO THEY GO?? Under the bottom of the cab wood mounts?? THANKS for any info!
