That is a bigger job than the fronts because the rear hubs and drums have to come off to install the lower brackets. C&G has them (800/266-0470). Part # 11A-18125-KIT. Catalog says $212.95. Good quality never comes cheap.

Thankx Any tips on converting the rear to tube shocks suggest one conversion kit over another Thankx Brent

The Merc would use the same shock as the Ford in late 47-48. A good parts house should be able to look at the mounting points and check the extended and compressed lengths and come up with a shock that will fit.The Ford part # is 7RC-18125-A. You might try a Napa store as they carry a lot of early parts. You might also call C and G Parts at 1-800-266-0470, they have the shocks in stock.

Hello just wondering if anyone would have the New or updated)part number for the front shocks on a 47 Merc Coupe took the old one in with the part # and the called monroe but the # they provided is wrong Thankx Brent
