I bought a new floormat for my 40 coupe. Can someone please tell me where the two clips go that hold the mat in place? The clips werent used with the old mat. Much obliged!

Hey Bill, There should be two holes in your transmission floor cover that accept the clips. One hole on each side of the "hump". I have attached a photo to give you an idea where to look. As a side note, ALL models of 1940 Fords, both "standard" and deluxe, used Benton Gray mats. The closest reproduction is taupe. Mike "Kube" Kubarth

Just for info the repo tunnel covers do not have the holes for the floor mat in them. If you have a repo cover you will have to drill the holes.
