There was only one mat that was installed in ALL 1940 Ford passenger cars. It was Benton Gray - kind of a medium brownish color and yes - one piece. The best repop available comes from Dennis Carpenter. Contrary to popular belief, there was never a black mat installed to the Ford V8 models. Carpenter part #4014-7013000-T, $179.95 By the way, there were only two models of 1940 Ford passenger cars, the Ford V8 (aka Standard) and the Deluxe. No "custom deluxe"... Mike "Kube" Kubarth

1940 custom deluxe Is a single, all the way across, with cutouts for pedals, the only correct front floor mat? Was a set of two piece mats ever correct? My mat is quite torn up from others yanking it out, tearing it around the pedals, instead of carefully removing it. Thinking about replacing it.
