I am installing a 1952 8RT engine into a 1938 Standard. The center exhaust port is next to the steering box. Is there a product that I can buy that will route the exhaust past the steering box? Or, am I going to have to make a custom header? Thanks for any info Ron

All full-size flathead manifolds 32-53 will fit all 32-53 blocks. Any left hand manifold that has the outlet forward of the steering box (such as a 38 221) will not interfere with the steering box. If you prefer headers, Red's Headers www.reds-headers.com should have what you need.

I appreciate the info. I have a neighbor that should have a 221 manifold that I can try. The picture of the header on redsheaders looks similar to the headers that I have. I picked them up at a swap meet. I forget the brand. I can bend the exhaust pipe any way I want. I just need a manifold that get me past the steering box.
