I am contemplating putting cowl lights on my 32 BB to be used as turn signals. I don't believe the large trucks had cowl lights but I'm considering the safety issue. Were they mounted above the beltline moulding or below and how far from the front edge etc.? Thanks! I sure don't want to put a hole or two in the wrong place!

I don't know about the BB, but the phaeton in the '32 Phaeton Photo just posted measures 1 3/8" from the back edge of the cowl lip to the front edge of the cowl light base and 3/4" from the belt molding to the bottom edge of the base (ignoring the rubber gasket).

Thanks for the help Deluxe 40! Beautiful car! I will post a picture of the BB if the sun ever comes out here on the shore of Lake Superior.

I added Cowl Lights to my 32 Tudor and the brace made it easy to locate them. It was already there on the inside of the cowl. Hope you have same luck.

I've been trying Norm Dog! Seems that I would have to establish a website to send pictures. Could be I just don't understand this computer!

If you can get the photo on to your computer (hard drive) then you can attach it using the Image Attachment: window below this box --- you can find the photo you want using the Browse.... box to the right of the Image Attachment: window . Not that hard, just takes a minute to figure it out. But the photo has to either be scanned in or added in from a digital source, such as a digital camera photo chip.
