Which is the more period correct for the drs. side? The plain end or the circular crimped end to hold the coil feed wire plug for early to mid 32 engines?

Either one for mid-year, un-crimped for early. You cannot use the crimped version with a Tyree Harris reproduction wiring harness as the wires at the front for the generator and distributor will prove to be too short.

3W2, thanks. That makes sense as there is nothing to prevent the plug from going back into the tube. The crimp stops it, as Ford discovered the problem. Was the coil wire covered in a cloth covering as it exited the tube as it went to the distributor?

The wire to the generator was covered with a black fabric conduit. The red wire to the coil was not covered with a black fabric conduit.
