Does anybody have good clear pics of a 49 jack all 3 pcs. There was an article in a V8 times a few yrs back, probebly put in by Lynn Stacey the tool man. What would that be in?? I could look through that yrs issues, but don't want to go through a collection of 250 odd magazines looking for it. Thanks for any help on this. ken ct.

This is a good time to promote using the V-8 TIMES index of topics that is available. Go to V-8 TIMES from the left column menu. Once there, page down and fill in a keyword....................... 1949 Jacks (there will be many topics since it keys on 1949 and jacks) Use the prev/next on the lower right to navigate through the pages. I found this information -- Ford Tools, Part V: Update on Jacks 20 6 1983 Nov-Dec So it's the 1983 Nov-Dec issue that you want to be looking for.

Photograph of the original tool kit in my unrestored, original 1949 Custom Sedan built in Antwerp, Belgium. Hope this helps. Colin (in UK)

I believe that by 1949 the full sized Ford was the same -- except for left and right drive -- domestic and export. The jack looks pretty much like my 1949 Ford one.

I know Ford had more than 1 supplier for jacks and were all similar but not quite the same. So theres more than 1 style that could be correct for concours judging ???? ken ct. Is this correct.

Here's the first of three photos showing a jack, still in its factory box, which came with our 11,738-original-miles 1950 coupe (built in Canada). That C8M part number prefix on the box indicates Canada, not Ford of USA. The late Don Gibson, who helped write the Club's 1949-50-51 Ford Book, believed that this jack might also have been supplied with Mercurys as well as Meteors and Monarchs on our side of the border.
