Thanks John, after cleaning contacts on cutout and watching voltage on VOM, everything looked good, no voltage drop after turning off vehicle, took for test drive now battery dead again, thanks for tip for different cut out, I don't know if I need to maybe flash the fields because battery was not hooked up correctly to positive ground and battery was disconnected for a couple of weeks

You might want to consider getting a Fun Project voltage regulator that looks just like an original cut out, but works so much better. They sell for about $70.00. You might also consider adjusting the third brush on your generator by removing the cover band and moving the third bruch cw or ccw to give the proper output. Instructions for doing this adjustment should be outlined in service manuals and the green colored V13 booklet

Got message, did pull cutoff cover off & cleaned contacts, seem to be charging now, just got back from drive couldn't be happier, will check and see if there is voltage drop thanks so much, new to this vintage automobile ,still learning????

Check your cutout. If it is sticking it can drain the battery quickly.

h*llo, I have a 1935 roadster , vehicle has original generator installed,Having trouble with battery and charging, battery was hooked up wrong, when I turn off car battery will drain in about 20 mins, any help would be appreciated
