VIEWING MULTIPLE TOPICS ON SCREEN: You can choose to see more than 10 Topics at a time ... Log In and choose "Preferences" from the top bar on the Forum page. Scroll down and Change the "Default Topics Returned" parameter to 25 or 50, and save the changes. Since this setting is stored in your browser 'cookies' (if enabled), it seems to use that stored value even if you are not logged in. So, if you use a PC that you haven't logged into the forum from, the setting still seem to remain at the default.
EXTERNAL PHOTO LINKS ON FORUM: You can still use external photo links in your posts on the new forum. They follow the rules of any link in that they have to have the URL link qualified down to the full image file name (example: .jpg). The links will open in a new browser window, the same as an uploaded image attached to a post. Since an image attachment to any post does not display inline with the post, the results are the same. You can use multiple external links within a post. This link is from photos on a site from Don Clink's 'Deuce@75' albums:

Using links from photo sites such as Photobucket can help in "size" issue with uploaded attachment files. For best viewing in web browsers, photos should be around the 800x600 pixel range, and probably not more than 1024x768. Most cameras today store HUGE jpg image files, as the default settings are in the 7, 8, 10, and 12Mb image sizes. The image files that are then attached are very large, and the browser can't display the full image size without using the scroll bars. Use the re-sizing functions of your photo editing software to reduce the image to 800x600, which reduces the file sixe and the image load time in the browser. Don uses Google's free Picassa3 software, which is an excellent photo management product. All of the photo albums of the Deuce, Grand National, and Auburn that are links on the NORG site were built using Picassa's web creation functions. And it's free? (THANKS to Don Clink for the info!)

On this page Members can add optional information such as their City,State, Country; Occupation; Hobbies: list a Homepage; list AOL Instant Messanger Handle; Signature; "Make Email Address viewable to others;" and even change the number of Default Topics shown on a page. WHEN others click on your profile, they will see this information.

Whatever you do , DO NOT BEND THE TUBE. If the tube is being stopped because it is hitting the roof of the car you need to lower the steering column for a better angle.

I don't understand. If the horn button/switch control/brass tube pulls up 40", or even 4", it is not "glued" to the tube on the end plate. It surely will come out with a little persuasion. If you get the switch control off the tube, then what?

From what I think I am reading, I would try to insert a slim rod/probe up the tube from the bottom and tap it lightly.

The head is pressed onto the tube. Trying to remove it will caused irreparable damage.

I think the short brass tube has been glued to the long wire tube, as the wire tube that is usually oily has been degreased. Yes, the horse shoe clip is off and I can pull it out about 40 " and then the stuck brass tube interferes with further removal. I am able to get to the bottom side of the switch head as the rod pulls out 40". So my question is, will removing the horn button by straightening those tabs allow me access to separate the switch head from the horn wire tube? I am suspecting that the horn wire tube may not be removable from the switch head.

Are you sure that the horn tube is glued to the brass tube? Have you removed the horse shoe clip which holds the horn tube in place? How are you getting to the back side of the horn button as normally it can't move up?

You can not remove the inside portion for the horn button without doing damage to the rod and horn button. I suggest you remove the glue holding the rod in place and then remove it properly so as not to damage the rod. Then repair the brass tube with silver solder on the inside portion of the bottom cover.

I am trying to remove the switch head from the hornwire tube, so I can remove the steering wheel.

I cannot pull the hornwire tube up and out from the steering column because the 6" brass sheath tube that is found on the lower end of the hornwire tube has apparently been glued to the hornwire tube, thus not allowing the hornwire tube to be pulled out of the steering column.

So my question is, If I remove the chrome ring, spring and horn button, will that enable me to remove the switch head from the hornwire tube? Or, is the hornwire tube crimped against the top surface switch head, as well as the bottom surface. (I do not want to bend those tabs unless I know that doing so will allow me to be able to remove the switch head from the hornwire tube)

Bending the tabs back will only release the chrome ring, the spring, and the horn button from the switch head.
Not sure what you want to do here --- remove the horn wire from the light switch rod?
I presume that you have the rod out of the steering column.

If I straighten the tabs on the bottom side of the light switch knob, can the knob then be removed from the horn wire tube, or does this only remove the horn button from the light switch knob? The tabs appear to have never been straightened before, so I think I can bend them one time and back again without breaking them. However, I do not want to bend them to remove the horn button, only to find out that I still can't remove the light switch knob from the horn wire tube.
