If you can be happy with a blackwall tire as I am, a good and reasonably priced tire in that size is the Goodyear Assurance All Season Radial. TireRack sells them.

I have had good experience going to a 205/75R15 tire on a 1953 Ford. The 215/75R15 tires are too wide for the stock 5 inch wide wheels. are pretty tight in the rear wheel openings when you have to change a flat, and they cause excessive steering effort during parking maneuvers.

I think the best p-metric radial size will be 215/75R15 (dia. 27.5 "). What experience have others had with going from 6.70x15 to a radial size? rsh1950
