Thanks, I bought the Bosch gauge. If I could have found an original type I would have preferred it.

This temp gauge is a working gauge, the tubing is 48 inch long, I think it would work in your 36,might not be correct but will do the job, why not use a original type in your car ? let me know, 37RAGTOPMAN

Have found that mechanical water temperature gauges manufactured by both Bosch and Equus will fit the Drake water pumps without adapters. Possibly other manufacturers gauges will also work.

You may need to use a bushing adapter, but most any mechanical modern temp gauge should work. Take one of your pumps to the auto parts store where they sell the newer gauges and try one in the pump.

Recently purchased new water pumps for my '36 from Drake. Need a new water temperature gauge, either electric or mechanical. Who manufactures one that will fit this pump?
