The car(34) is already wired fo 12 volt (lights,gauges etc) just need to know of any changes under the hood Thanks

You will also have to replace all the light bulbs inside and out, and obtain voltage reducers for the gauges. As often said here, the cost of converting to 12 volts usually doesn't justify doing it. A 6 volt system in good condition is almost always nearly as effective.

Starter will run on 12 volts. You need a 12 volt generator or alternator, a 12 volt coil and a resistor to drop the voltage to the distributor to extend point life.You can also eliminate the resistor by using a 12 volt coil with an internal resistor.

Have a 34 with SB chevy with 12 volt wiring Replacing engine with 59AB block Wish to keep all wiring and run 12 volts Change starter,genterator, coil, ingition-(starter can run on 12 volt without changing to 12 volt) type of soldinolt what else Everything works well now and is nicely installed My main concern is getting the engine to run and keep it running My Thanks go out to you guys You have helped a lot
