Have the 48 Mercury finally running good after over a year's work. I want to thank all you guys who pitched in and helped with technical advice, best vendors, parts, like supereal, KenCt, TomO and others. Rebuilt carbs (twice)fuel pump (twice) distributor (twice) rebuilt coil from Skip Haney, new ignition resister, replaced old gas, redid ignition wires, plug wires, new plugs (twice) and more... Thanks, Jeff

Jeff, I am glad that you are finally able to enjoy your Mercury. I don't know what I did to help you, but you are always welcome to ask questions on the Forum and I will do what I can to get you the answer. Modified cars are always harder to fix than stock, because the modifications introduce many new variables.
