I have a mid-year 34 Cabriolet that has different door latches. Both open the door using a handle in the middle of the door, but the one on the driver side opens by pulling the handle, while the one on the passenger side opens by pushing the handle. Does that sound right?

You seem to have 2 diff latch mech. Look at the 2 pivit points from the long rod. One of them is wrong not sure which. The shape of the piece at the second pivot piece is diff than the other one. ?? ken ct.

Yes, I believe one of them is the wrong latch - probably the one for the right. If you look at the levers in the photo, the right one opens with a push on the rod, but the left one opens with a pull. The other puzzling thing to me is that they seem to be for 33-34 only, because they will not go on a 32 or earlier or on a 35 or later. Thanks for your comment.
