I find that the bulb in the dome light in my '34 sedan has burned out. I've never had to replace this bulb in the past. Before I attempt to replace this bulb, what is the procedure in removing the bezel and lens? This is an original unit in the headliner with the remote switch on the pillar post....

MG, There should be a snap ring holding the glass lens in place. Remove the ring and the glass will drop out exposing the buld. See image enclosed

Yes, Don, I see that 'snap ring'. It's in there pretty tight. Do I use a screwdriver to pry it out? I fear it slipping and puncturing the headliner....

Use a sharp pic or an ice-pick or an awl. Work much better , be ready to catch the lens when it drops or you will be replaceing that too. ken ct.

Yeah, Ken. The lens looks to be made of milk glass. Thanks for the tip....
