What are you gentlemen using in 1935/1936 engines as a modern spark plug to replace the original old style Champions? I would like to install the best alternative currently available, and am wondering what other members' experience might be. Thanks, GF

After years of using the Champion D-16 & UD-16 plugs, I switched to Autolite 386 about 25 years ago. Higher heat range, not easily gas fouled and they last for years of heavy use. Plugs are black instead of silver. I use them in all my flatheads and love the service I get from them and will never go back to Champion

Thanks for the input. I'll find out what may be available through our friendly local auto parts supplier.

My '36 book calls for cold plugs. So why the hot ones?
