For overdrives, Lloyd Young the Borg-Warner OD builder/mechanic in Ohio told me to use 140w except 90w okay only if in cold season. Don't use GL-5. I use StayLub 140w GL-4 available in Qt or Gal by order via NAPA in my location.

90wt gear oil. Beware, some of the new 90wt oils will eat up your synchronizers or other brass or copper metals in the trans. Tractor supply stores will have the right one but so should and local parts store. I think they rate them by GL-1 through GL-5. Someone here will have the right number you want and post it.

I'm just putting a used overdrive transmission in my '53 Victoria. I'm not sure what fluid to use as I have drained the old fluid.
