Asking for help & directions in removing door panels and window moulding to replace window regulators for a 41' 2 Dr.Deluxe sedan. Have new regulators for replacement. Potmetal stubs broken off can't attach handles !!

Dave, I just did two of these yesterday. Pretty easy. You'll need to remove the window frame and door panel of course. You do NOT need to remove the (roll up) window. Remove the five screws holding the regulator to the door. Lower the regulator with glass until you can reach the two clips holding the window track to the regulator. Pull the clips, remove the regulator. Assembly is obviously the reverse of removal. You may find it a bit easier if someone is there to hold the glass "up" for you while you swap the regulator. I am kind of persistent so do it myself. Hope this helps.. Mike "Kube" Kubarth

If you are doing this by yourself you can use a couple of pieces of short 2X4 wood to hold up the window while you remove and reinstall the regulator. You can notch the top of the wood so the window track sits securely in the wood.
