VIEWING MULTIPLE TOPICS ON SCREEN: You can choose to see more than 10 Topics at a time ... Log In and choose "Preferences" from the top bar on the Forum page. Scroll down and Change the "Default Topics Returned" parameter to 25 or 50, and save the changes. Since this setting is stored in your browser 'cookies' (if enabled), it seems to use that stored value even if you are not logged in. So, if you use a PC that you haven't logged into the forum from, the setting still seem to remain at the default.
EXTERNAL PHOTO LINKS ON FORUM: You can still use external photo links in your posts on the new forum. They follow the rules of any link in that they have to have the URL link qualified down to the full image file name (example: .jpg). The links will open in a new browser window, the same as an uploaded image attached to a post. Since an image attachment to any post does not display inline with the post, the results are the same. You can use multiple external links within a post. This link is from photos on a site from Don Clink's 'Deuce@75' albums:

Using links from photo sites such as Photobucket can help in "size" issue with uploaded attachment files. For best viewing in web browsers, photos should be around the 800x600 pixel range, and probably not more than 1024x768. Most cameras today store HUGE jpg image files, as the default settings are in the 7, 8, 10, and 12Mb image sizes. The image files that are then attached are very large, and the browser can't display the full image size without using the scroll bars. Use the re-sizing functions of your photo editing software to reduce the image to 800x600, which reduces the file sixe and the image load time in the browser. Don uses Google's free Picassa3 software, which is an excellent photo management product. All of the photo albums of the Deuce, Grand National, and Auburn that are links on the NORG site were built using Picassa's web creation functions. And it's free? (THANKS to Don Clink for the info!)

On this page Members can add optional information such as their City,State, Country; Occupation; Hobbies: list a Homepage; list AOL Instant Messanger Handle; Signature; "Make Email Address viewable to others;" and even change the number of Default Topics shown on a page. WHEN others click on your profile, they will see this information.

Just to add some trivia to 42wagon's info, the Super Deluxe Sedan Coupe is also called the "long door coupe" by some. The rear seat in mine can accommodate three people of up to medium stature.

You are correct. There was a Coupe and a Sedan Coupe. The coupe appears to have used the same doors as the 4 door sedan and probably did not have a back seat. 10,670 Deluxe Coupes 69A-77A were produced and 12,249 Super Deluxe Coupes 69A-77B were produced. Then there was the Sedan Coupe which appears to have used the front doors from the 2 door sedan. It would have had a back seat. 70,826 Super Deluxe Sedan Coupes were produced model 69A-72B. There appears to be no Deluxe Sedan Coupe. The roof and rear quarter stampings would have been different between the coupe and sedan coupe.

I thought Ford made two different coupe bodies between 1946-48. One was based on the doors of the 2 door sedan. The other was based on the front doors of a 4 door sedan.

"Club Coupe" was not a "generic" description in 1937 and 1938--Ford offered Club Coupes for both years (78-720 and 81A-720 respectively). I believe the term Club Coupe was not used again by Ford until 1949 when it was used in the Custom De Luxe line. There was no such thing as a 1946 Ford Club Coupe.

According to the book The V-8 Album published by the Early Ford V-8 Club you have a Coupe. You don't say whether it is a Deluxe or a Super Deluxe. According to the book 10,670 Deluxe Coupes 69A-77A were produced and 12,249 Super Deluxe Coupes 69A-77B were produced.

Ford did not call it a Business Coupe although it had no rear seat and had the shelf you describe.

I have a '46, no back seat, driver/passenger seat the back hinges forward (open) and opens another truck area, separated by a wall from the trunk area. This area has a deck, tray behind the seat, am assuming I have a Business Coupe, this correct ? Any idea how many of these were built ?

I believe Hagerty is in error as far as Fords go when he talks about a "Club" coupe. Ford had two coupes in various models in 1946. A Coupe with no rear seat 69A-77A and 77B and a Sedan Coupe with a rear seat 69A-72B.
The Sedan Coupe may only have been available as a Super Deluxe (72B). The Coupe appears to have been available as both a Deluxe (77A) and a Super Deluxe (77B).
Interestingly Ford called the Sportsman a "Sportsman Convertible Coupe. Ford called the plain convertible a "Super Deluxe Convertible Club Coupe".

Back in the day "club coupe" referred to a coupe body with a small rear seat, also called a 5 passenger coupe. I believe they were generic terms, not referring to any make of car. Convertibles were sometimes called a "convertible coupe".

The Hagerty valuation site lists a super deluxe coupe and a super deluxe club coupe for 1946. I have never know for sure what constitutes a "club coupe". I believe in some years it was a convertible but in others it was a longer coupe. What was it in 1946?
