are there any production #s for a 1948 ford coupe 6 cylinder?

Ford produced 73,365 1948 cars with 6 cylinder motors in 1948. I do not find any breakdown on how many were coupes, etc.

I think the engine switched from "G" to the "H" series in'48 for both cars and trucks. There a lot of F-1's out there with sixes!! Like mine, for example!!

yes you are right, i was looking for a f-100 and surprised to find so many 6 cylinder trucks

Actually the 6 cylinders had almost as much power as the V-8, ran cool, and were less money when you went to buy one. they were popular in the pickups. Government agencies primarily bought the sixes.
