I have been told that you can and also that you can't simply remove the starter motor from a 1939 deluxe ford V8 without removing the steering box! Can anyone tell me the answer to this question? I've tried to get mine out but it didn't quite make it past the steering box!! Thanks. Cheers, John

Oh boy have I had some sort of a day! Sorry but I've had a seniors moment!! Yes, I'm from down under and totally forgot the right/left steering box! I've often asked questions and received helpful information from this forum but this time I was quite frazzled by the time I got to asking this dumb question! I'm pleased to add that I now don't need to remove the starter motor so all is good this time!! Thanks anyway. Cheers, John
