I have a 40 heater, but the motor that is in it is a two wire motor. It has some internal problems, and I am looking for one that will fit. I have heard that there are no replacement 4 wire motors, but I also read somewhere, that NAPA has a Balkamp motor that has two wires and will fit. It is supposed to be a reversing motor as well. Anyone know for sure. I'm not going for total restoration as my 40 is a resto rod. I'm just wanting my 40 heater to work. Any and all info about the heater motor and related parts are appreciated. I do not want to cobble up my heater to make it work either.

Others here will be able to provide better specifics but by the '47 model year one of three apparent heater options available was my 4 wire heater with a slow and high speed out-blower and a low and high speed reverse blower mode. If you have such in your area try some electric motor repair shops - they often have some interesting items on their back shelf - OR if you want to retain your 2-wire they can probably repair it.

Try Dennis Carpenter, they have heater fan motors.
