thank you guys much i hope to have it fully restored in the next 5-6 years. and by then i hope to have most the history on where it came from and how it got here

Your Tanus is probably a 1949. The 1948 had a different grill and the 1951 had a one piece windshield. In the US some states titled a car as the year it was sold. I don't think any 1949 Tanus were imported in 1948 or 1949. It looks like a great restoration project. You should try to find out as much as you can about its history as you go through the restoration project. It could have been brought to the US by a military person stationed in Germany in the 50's. I suspect you will get the best information from club members who live in the country where the Taunus was made. Check your club roster and call or e-mail those members.

i particilarly would like info on finding out what year it is. i want to completely restore it since i have everything except one guage, interior, glass and the turn signal handle. i want to try keep it as original as possible

h*llo, i have a Ford Taunus that my grandfather got his hands on years ago. he has it titled as a 1948 ,but im positive it isnt a 48 because they only had one model and color made in that year. this one was originally blue. if anybody has any information of G93A ford taunuses i would appreciate it.
