The 8/1/39 Ford time schedule says 2 hours to do a complete tune up, including an overhaul of the distributor, carburetor and fuel pump. Clean and space the spark plugs. The tune up also included aligning the head lamps, re-torquing all engine bolts and a test drive. It looks like Ken CT would have been fired after the first day. I probably would not have made it to the morning coffee break. "Rebuild" can have many meanings from just adjusting the points to completely disassemble the part, clean it and replace any worn or out of spec parts including the bushings, reassemble and adjust it to factory specifications.

Approximately how many hours should it take an experienced mechanic to rebuild a distributor from a '35 Ford? Thanks
