In addition to Tom's advice there is a guy on e-bay who specializes in 1952-1954 Ford parts. He has lots of NOS parts, but he is not cheap. You might also try Stacy Brown in Texas 817-275-2381 or the Early Ford Store in San Dimas, Calif.(They are listed in our links section).I'm not positive , but I think the Mercury uses the same latch.

Just joined yesterday but had posted in Mecury section. Am looking for someone who either sells or rebuilds these units. Having a hard time finding. Noticed there are units available for the pickup in various catalogs but not for cars. Are components interchangeable ? Need one for driver's side for now. Please advise. Thanks G
