anyone know price range for a stock 1946 ford v volt coil? or can it be made to 12 volt neg ground? just a question.

Good quality coils usually sell for 75 to 100 dollars. For that kind of money, Skip Haney can rebuild yours with modern materials. He can set them up for 12 volts, if desired, and for use without a resistor, if preferred. If your coil is damaged, he has cores available. Some rebuilders filled the case with epoxy, making them unsuitable for a full rebuild. At our shop, we use his coils.
