Should replace 600/16 tires on the 36. Was wondering what size tire would work if purchased locally from a tire dealer rather than order some from coker? Thanks for suggestions

Grif: The only 600/16 tires I could find locally (Iowa) were for farm implements, obviously a bad choice. I ordered a set of Coker Classic wide white bias plys, and have been pleased with them. They don't "flat spot" like the old tires, ride and steer fine, and preserve the original appearance. I've had mine for several years. You can see the choices at www.coker.com I don't show my car, so brand name tires were not necessary. They have those too, but at a premium cost to match.

You will also find that most local tire outlets will get the size you desire FROM Coker...

I just got my Coker tires from Summit Racing. The tires cost the same but Summit Racing's shipping was $8.00 compared to Coker's $75.00.

Summit has a lot of items, like the Coker tires, that they do not have in their catalog. The big savings is in their shipping.I recently got an Optima battery from them and not only saved on the price, but saved on the shipping.I checked several places and could not find anyone to beat their price on the Optima.

$8 each vs. $75 for the entire set I would assume? If you call Coker and ask, they will give you a 10% discount on the purchase.

I bought a pair that would have been $75.00 shipping for the pair from Coker and $8.00 each from Summit. So, comparing $16.00 to $75.00. Don't know what shipping on a full set from Coker would have been.

Check and see if Coker is attending a swap meet near you within the timeframe you need. I got a set of 5 tires shipped FREE to the Portland Oregon Swap meet last year.
