Thanks for the info. That makes since. I will try to round one up. This '41 is fun, but a lot more work and money than the mustangs I'm use to restoring.

Many of use the Winfield Tool Works puller. It is a reproduction of the original KRW puller issued to Ford dealers. It isn't cheap, but certainly less than the cost and labor of replacing a damaged axle. I've had mine for many years, and it has never failed to remove the most stubborn drums. don't use the common three legged puller, or the knockoff nut. You can try contacting a RG group in your area to see if one can be borrowed.

Trying to remove the rear drums. They do not want to come off as easily as the front. Does this mean I need to find a puller of some sort?
