Hello, I have a 46 Ford Deluxe Coupe. I found the jack and a tire iron wrapped in heavy canvas in a compartment in the trunk. Did my Ford come with any other tools? If so what? Thanks in advance for any reply. Steve W.

Steve You should get a copy of the 41-48 Ford book available from the club or many of the parts suppliers. It will answer a number of questions that will arise as you start to work on your car. That said according to the book most tools were dropped in 1946 some in January, most in November. Therefore you will have to determine the approximate date your car was built to determine what tools were appropriate. Assuming your car was built the last months of 45 the tools consisted of: Pouch, 7/16 x 1/2 end wrench, 9/16x5/8 end wrench, head nut and sparkplug wrench, screwdriver, adjustable wrench, pliers, passenger jack, jack handle & tire wrench, and a lugnut wrench. The open end wrenches and adjustable wrench were dropped after January 46 and all tools except the tire changing tools were dropped after November 46. Ted

I agree with 42 Wagon, purchase the "41 thru '48 book from the V-8 club, it is a wealth of info. Some times when I have nothing else to read I look thru it and every time I do I learn something.
