Eastwood does in fact sell a spray that simulates cadmium. And yes, that tube was plated as well.

Thanks Kube, perhaps Eastwood has a paint that would simulate cad plating. Does the cad plating include the tubular piece that comes up between the backrests and is covered with a neck tie shaped piece of material?

All the pieces were cadmium plated, then assembled. The handle was nickle plated, the springs left in their natural finish - similar to gun bluing. Mike "Kube" Kubarth

Have a front seat out of a '40 Tudor and the seat frame is finished in a primer, what color is the frame suppose to be painted, was the slide mechanism painted or was it bare metal?
