I need the gasket for the large clean out plate on bottom of '48-'52 pickup pan. Have tried C&G and a place in Minneapolis that I can't think of to no avail. Anybody have a suggestion?

Try Joblot in New York. They have a lot of commercial parts.

Try Mac's Antique Auto Parts. They list the clean-out gasket, 7HT-6698, for 48-52 V8 in their 2013-14, 1948-79 Ford Pickup Parts & Accessories Catalog.

It's been several years now, but when I rebuilt my truck engine, I bought some cork gasket material and made a clean-out gasket. That may still be your only option. The part number is 7HT 6698. You'd think that with all of the parts available today, someone would make this gasket as it would be simple and cheap to make.

Pretty easy to make your own from cork gasket material. Use the cover as a template. John

Joblot has the gasket, nice people to deal with & will use them again. As far as making my own gasket; I'm horrible at arts & crafts!

For some reason I am thinking that clean-out plate requires two gaskets. Might be wrong.
