Looking for the correct speaker that fits under the dash of a 48 car. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Rick

The speaker is a standard 6" X 9" speaker except for the magnet. The modern large ceramic magnets will not fit with the stock radio. It must have the small magnet that the original speakers have. Mac's sells one here but doesn't show the magnet. I wouldn't buy it without asking them about it. http://macsautoparts.com/early-v8-ford-mercury-dual-front-speakers-6quot-x-9quot-4-ohm-18808-0606/camid/F30/cp/P70HCO2B1000087/ I found mine on ebay but don't see one for sale there right now. Good luck. Old Henry (The older I get, the better old looks.)

I have had good results here, both with speaker for 40 Ford Philco I restored and a 6 x 9 in my 47 Ford. Both sound great and will fit. http://www.turnswitch.com/
