For your '48 what? There are more than one type of engine, and the '48 239 V-8 car and truck engines are different.

Contact charlie Ny (Charlie Schwindler) or Ken ct (Ken Isidor). They both rebuild 59 carburetors and may be willing to sell you a rebuild kit. They can usually be reached on Fordbarn by sending them a private message. They may also be listed on this website.

I have found the best kits from NAPA. Problem is, most counter help doesn't have a clue. Find a good NAPA store, and they can help you. I have especially found the power valves from NAPA to be far superior to most of the junk found in most kits. The power valve is crucial, a cheap one that leaks will drip fuel into the intake and cause rough running. Good luck,
Alan

The key to getting a good kit is to obtain them from a source that sells a lot of them. This insures that the kit parts will be alcohol resistant. For the 94, we order 59A-9590, V-8, 94 from C&G (800-266-0470), $30.00.
