Can someone please help me determine the correct part number for the 1934 Ford Roadster front Grille Assembly. I have looked through the OEM parts catalog and found for the model 40 part number 8202-B listed as "Sh*ll Radiator". I have also found 40 8200-A listed as "Sh*ll-Radiator-Assembly with hood pad". Which one is correct and what are the differences?

The green book shows the '34 grille as 40-8202-A and 40-8202-B. Bob Drake sells nice repros as 40-8200. This includes the rest of the assembly. Regular price for the grille, alone, is $2,450. It was on sale recently at $2,250 for the grille and all the trim. www.bobdrake.com or 800/221-3673.

Would the -A be for the 33 and the -B be for the 34? The model 40 covers both the 33 and 34 and I know there is a big difference between the two years.

I have the 28-34 parts book. 40-8200-AR is for 1933 $6.00 40-8200-B is for 1934 $ 7.00 with hood pads.

Tanks Brian: I have a CD version of the 28-37 Ford chassis parts and price list and it shows the following: 1. 40-8200-A - Sh*ll-Radiator assy with hood pad $9.75 2. 40-8202-B - Sh*ll-Radiator $18.00 There is no mention of 40-8200-B, nor a 40-8202-A? Could my version have errors? I have attached an image of the page showing the 8200 p/n. What concerns me is the 8202 p/n with an $18 price, I am confused

My book shows nothing with an 8202 number. Maybe things changed by 37. Brian

The numbers I quoted are on page 371 of the green book. They both show as '34. The '33 passenger grille is shown as 40-8200-A I passed up a nice '34 grille a few years ago at a big swap meet when the price was $500. I should have bought it, because finding a usable one now is likely to hit four figures, if you can find one. I guess we need a "time machine" to go back for these hard to find parts at those affordable prices.

Thanks All. I vote for a time machine also.
