Actually, one more question. It was a Ford-O-Matic so what would the ratio have been? Thanks.

If you are asking about the ring gear, the standard size for '53 is 8.50". The ratio used would depend upon the transmission: three speed, three speed with overdrive, or Ford-O-Matic.

Can anyone tell me what size the rear axle is on my 1953 Victoria, 7", 8", or 9"? Thanks.
