If you have the 28-38 Ford Hardware and Trimming Supply book, check page 89. It shows the RH door window regulator( part # 78-734300-C). It is not the regulator that you have shown in the photo. The one in the photo looks like one for a 32-34 rear door window.

Thanks! I do not have the publication you refer to. Do you know where I can buy one?

Thanks trjford8 I found the book at C&G and have ordered a copy. I am concerned the setup I have now will cause the glass to bind in the window channels and cause continuing grief so I will replace the glass channels and regulators.

It is not unusual to find a non standard regulator "adapted" regulator in an old car. Years ago, when they were just "old cars"', lots of this went on. Almost always, the correct regulators can be rebuilt. If you have the wrong one, it is better to find one, then fix it.

Olddad, sorry I forgot to refer you to V-8 suppliers that carry that book. Once you get it you will find it is a valuable resource for the hardware on your car. I use mine frequently. I assume you have the V-8 Club's 1937 Ford resource book, but if you don't it is also a great resource for your car. You can purchase it on this site if you need it.
