Greetings Gents: Before I do anything in the "assume mode" please give Me Your input. Will the oil pressure & fuel gauge work with 12volt neg. ground? This is on a 12volt conversion from 6volt pos. ground. Tnx***JT***

The gauges are not polarity sensitive, but they are voltage sensitive. You will need to install a voltage reducer in the gauge feed circuit to avoid burning them up.

Check e-Bay as a guy on there sells a voltage reducer for the gauges. It appears to be similiar to the one used by Ford in the 60's and the price is around $30. Just go to e-Bay and the vintage parts section. Type in Ford gauge in the search box and it should pop up.

Another alternative is your friendly local NAPA dealer. They sell an IR1 CVR for around $30.00 that takes care of all 3 gauges. And I would assume that the other parts stores have similar CVRs for similar prices.

buchbov, your NAPA guy is more friendly than my NAPA guy. The ir1cvr is more than $70 here. Used ones are found on ebay for about $15.

The price on those CVR's has gone up considerabley. The $30 price was good about 3-4 years ago, but they crept over $50 about 2 years ago in my area. You can try O'Reilley's or other stores, but I think you'll find thay have gotten pricey.
