Received a 50# sender with my overhauled '35 oil pressure gauge. 1/4 NPT scr*w*d into the block just fine, but the thread for wire attachment is 5mm. Made a stud from a 5mm screw (Lowe's) and attached the wire end with a nut. Much easier than trying to engage a screw and lockwasher! Pressure readings within 10% of the mechanical gauge I had installed.

I have one on my 46 Lincoln. I bought it used and it came with an adaptor. Works and looks fine.

Supereal Have not tried this item but have used a Willys 50# sending unit (a Willys Jeep sending unit that looks similar to the Ford King Seely sending unit purchased on e-bay) and it worked fine with the Ford oil pressure gauge. However, needed an adapter for the threads since the Willys sending unit had a smaller thread

It will depend on the type of gauge used with the sender. It will be interesting to find out. Please let us know, as the forty pound Ford sender isn't being reproduced, as far as I know. Most senders fit the pipe thead of the system, and from the photo, it looks similar.

Thought I would share this with you. Found this item while searching for 50# oil pressure sending units for 221 cubic inch V-8 flatheads. Everything suggests it will work. Perhaps an adapter is needed if threads in block are different than threads on sending unit. http://www.kaiserwillys.com/product/733/willys_temperatureswitches
