Is the radiator cap for the '49-'53 passenger car radiator a common item that can be picked up at any auto part store?

There are three different caps for 49-54. First, determine whether you have a 3/4" filler, or a 1". All are 7# caps. The 1" cap is 1M-8100. The 3/4" cap with the pressure release is B2AZ-8100-C. The cap without the release, 3/4", is B2AZ-8100-F. They are all available from C&G for under ten bucks. You might check a Ford dealer or NAPA in your area. C&G is 1-800/266-0470. I doubt that most auto parts stores go back that far.

I run a 4# cap that I got from the local NAPA. I don't have the part number handy, but can get it if you need it.
