Can someone lead to a web site that gives tire widths .I bought a 53 Merc that has radile tires on it that almost impossable to take off the car.

I have that problem with my '55 T-Bird. If you're using a floor jack, you might try using the bumper jack, which will raise the body off the suspension and give you more clearance. If that's not an option, you can try deflating the tires. Between the clearance issues and gorilla-effort required for low speed turning with the radials, I'll probably go to bias-ply next time.

Rather than using a bumper jack, jack the car up by the frame. Look for a spot that has reinforcing, so you don't bend the frame.
