If anyone is looking for a shipper, I'd recommend this company https://www.a1autotransport.com/ I've used them a few times over the years and they ship just about anywhere from what I know. Offer both open and enclosed and definitely on the cheaper side compared to other companies I've looked into.

Travis, as you live in MI, I would recommend Yesteryear Ford Parts. Their service is very good, Dave knows the old Fords very well and does a great job on servicing the distributors. http://yesteryearfordparts.com/ There are many companies that can ship your truck from CA to MI. If you want closed shipment, Passport has a good reputation. Mayflower and other moving companies also ship cars, but have restrictions. There are many other companies that will ship your truck in open trailers. Just be sure to check references and insurance coverage, so that you understand what happens if they damage your truck. Tom

Probably ought to start a new thread to get that new question answered about shipping your vehicle.

For new parts: Mac's Antique Auto Parts here: http://macsautoparts.com/login.asp?login_type= They're a little cheaper but take longer to get. C&G Early Ford Parts here: https://secure435.hostgator.com/~dlvry40/ufolder/SelectSection.php?c=1 Prices a little higher but 1-2 day delivery, in the west at least. Used parts - hundreds on ebay here: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=1947+ford+pickup&_sacat=0&_odkw=1947+ford+truck&_sop=10&_osacat=0&_sticky=1&_trkparms=65%253A12%257C66%253A2%257C39%253A1%257C72%253A5335&_sc=1 For values watch for listing and sales on ebay here: http://motors.shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=1947+ford+pickup&_sacat=6001&_fspt=0&Model%2520Year=1947&_dmpt=US_Cars_Trucks&_fpos=84097&Make=Ford&_odkw=&_osacat=6001&bkBtn=&_trksid=p4506.m270.l1311 For questions as you go ask on this forum or the Ford Barn here: http://www.fordbarn.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=4 Have fun and enjoy.

You need to put your general location in your profile (and also in the text of your post), a good paint shop in Florida won't do much good if you are in California. See if you can work anything on the tires through Costco. Charlie Stephens
