I recently got a pair of brand new Bob Drake pumps to keep as spares for my '51 F-1. They cost $100.00 and shipping was free. That deal is no longer in effect, but, even at the full price, buying new pumps from Drake is hard to beat. I know some of you will say that Chinese built pumps are junk. I have had problems with Chinese junk myself, but these pumps look good. I guess my son will find out how good they are when he installs them in about 20 years.

Do yourself a favor and send your pumps to Skip. You get the latest in technology, good customer service service and, most of all you get your original pumps back. That's just my opinion from a well satisfied customer.

You can buy re-manufactured pumps from Bumper to Bumper and Napa for your vehicle. Price is actually quite reasonable. I'd recently purchased a pair for a 1949 Ford I had worked on. They came with the concourse correct pulleys and were super nice. I paid $140 for the pair... no core charge.

I'm assuming that your truck is a V8, not a 6. Your truck will take a set of 8RT pumps. You can buy new from a vendor such as C&G (800/266-0470), or have them rebuilt by an expert such as Skip Haney (941/505-9085). If only one pump is leaking, it is wise to replace both, as the other will leak soon. We have even found these pumps from our local NAPA place. There are rebuild kits available, but without te special tools required, they are a waste of money, in my opinion.
